A delightful historical hostelry in genuine colonial style on a mountain top in 160 hectares of unspoiled indigenous vegetation with a breathtaking view over Addo Elephant Park - and as far as the eye can see through all points of the compass.
While retaining the elegant style and quality of those bygone days, The Inn’s facilities have been designed to suit the demands of today’s travelers. Gourmet food, comfortable high ceilinged rooms, friendly and professional staff all add up to one thing - it’s the best place to stay in the Addo area.
The Inn has over 20 double rooms available - some along
one wall of the original main building and others - our Zuurberg Village
- are delightful and spacious individual lodges, all under traditional
thatch.
For the outdoor enthusiast we offer everything from restful but breathtaking walks to slightly more demanding hiking trails. Mountain bike riders and equestrians are also well catered for. For those who prefer to stay close to the Hotel, a superb swimming pool, tennis courts and a bowling green are available on the Inn’s extensive grounds. Wild bird life is as prolific and varied as the indigenous flora of the grounds themselves.
The conference center accommodates up to 50 delegates.
Game drives through Addo Elephant Park can be booked from the Hotel.
In the colonial dining room with its vast fireplace, a la carte meals are available daily. Sunday lunch is legendary - people drive from such places as Port Elizabeth to enjoy the elaborate gourmet buffet which is served once a week. Our wine cellar is well stocked to suit lovers of the grape and informal pub lunches are also available for the traveler and guests alike.
