From Stompneus Point to beacons SHBE/DR on the remaining extent of Wilde Varkens Valley A (south of Doctors Reef), 6 Nautical miles -No Rock Lobster May Be caught.
Saldanha Bay:Between North Head and South Head (the entire Saldanha Bay) -No Rock Lobster May Be caught.
West Coast National Park: Angling and bait collection only permitted in the Langebaan Lagoon north of a line drawn from Beacon LB3 at Oesterwal, south of Langebaan town, to Beacon LB4 at Preekstoel, south of Kraal Bay.
Rocherpan Marine Reserve: Angling and sea-shore fishing allowed in the marine reserve

Cape Peninsula

Melkbos Point: No Rock Lobster may be caught for 12 Nautical miles seawards.

Cape of Good Hope: From Schuster Bay to Cape Point Lighthouse.

False Bay

Castle Rock Marine Reserve: General marine reserve for 1 nautical sea mile from Bakoven Rock to Bobbejaanklip.

Strand

From the security fence next to the Lourens River to the Southern break-water of the fishing harbour at Gordon's Bay (500m seaward) only rock and surf angling are allowed

Cape South Coast

H.F. Verwoerd Marine Reserve (Bettys Bay): From beacon B1 to beacon B4 to the east of jock-se-baai - for two nautical miles seaward, only surf and rock angling are allowed.

Mudge Point Marine Conservation Area: From the western limit of the Hawson harbour to the eastern limit of the Frans Senekal Reserve - only collection of perlemoen (Abelone), Rock Lobster and seaweed with a permit, only surf and rock angling are allowed.

Onrus River: From Harderbaai, a straight line drawn between the Van der Riet and Marine Drive Point respectively, only surf and rock angling are allowed.

Hermanus: From Kraal Rock to Rietfontein- 500m seawards, only surf and rock angling are allowed.

Gansbaai: Dyer Island- no perlemoen (Abelone) may be collected within two nautical miles around the island.

De Hoop Marine Reserve: From beacon DH1 to DH2 - general reserve

Goukama Marine Reserve: From the eastern boundary of the walkers farm to the western boundary of the Goukama Nature Reserve- within 1 nautical mile seawards only angling from the sea shore is allowed.

Robberg Marine Reserve: For 1 nautical mile seawards only angling from the sea shore allowed.

Knysna Lagoon: No one may catch or disturb any invertebrate animal in the lagoon.

Tsitsikamma National Park: From Groot River at Oubos to Groot River at Natures Valley - for three nautical miles seaward no angling is allowed.

Cape East Coast

Sardinia Bay Marine Reserve: From Beacon PECR1 near Schoemakerskop to beacon PECR2 near bushy park - for one nautical mile seaward - general marine reserve.

East London: Between Nahoon Point and Gonuibie Point, Christmas Rock and Gxulu River mouth and Nyara River mouth and Great Kei River Mouth- for three nautical miles only angling from the shore.

Natal Coast

Trafalgar Marine Reserve: From beacon N1 south of Centre Rocks to beacon N2- for three nautical miles seawards only shore angling, collection of red bait and spear fishing are allowed.

St Lucia Marine Reserve: From beacon N3 to beacon N4 - for three nautical miles seaward, only rock and surf angling, spear - fishing allowed.

St Lucia Sanctuary Area: From beacon N5 to beacon N6 - for three nautical miles seaward general marine reserve.

Maputaland Marine Reserve:

Maputaland Sanctuary Area:

• No artificial respirators are allowed while spear fishing.
• Only a spear or spear gun may be used to catch fish for ones OWN use.
• No person may use a net to catch fish from sunset to sunrise.
• No person shall in any way harm a Dolphin.
• No one shall approach closer than 300 m from a whale or harm a whale in any way.
• No person shall catch or kill a Great White shark.
• Only coral washed up on the beach may be collected.
• Only pansy shells washed up on the beach may be collected.
• No person may remove any aquatic plants, shells or shell grit unless for OWN consumption and not exceeding 10 kg aquatic plants, 50 kg shell grit, 1kg shells per day.

Closed Season:1 June to 15 November
Minimum size: 80mm - measured in a straight line along the middle of the dorsal line.

• Any person who wants to catch lobster for own consumption must be in possession of a permit.
• No person shall catch Rock Lobster between sunset and sunrise.
• No person shall sell the Rock Lobster caught.
• Rock Lobster may be landed and transported in a whole state.
• Rock Lobster in berry or a soft shell may not be caught.
• No person shall possess, buy, sell, transport or expose Rock Lobster eggs (berry).
• A maximum of 16 lobsters may be transported at one time, per day.
• Rock Lobster may only be caught with a scoop-net or by diving without artificial respirators.
• No Rock Lobster traps may be used.

Closed Season: 1 August to 31 October
Minimum Size: 114mm measured by a ring with an inner of legal size.
