Aside from enjoying the sea, the surf, the sand, shells and sun, Jeffreys Bay is conveniently situated for wonderful day trips: Knysna (190km), Plettenberg Bay (170km), Storms River Nature Reserve (130km), Tsitsikamma National Park, Port Elizabeth (70km) - oceanarium, shopping malls - Shamwari Game Park and Addo National Elephant Park to name but a few. Annual events in Jeffrey's Bay include the Shell Festival held in March/April and the Billabong/Country Feeling International Surf Classic in July. In December a fully supervised beach programme is offered for children. The Grahamstown National Arts Festival in July is within easy reach as are the Fynbos, Oyster and Citrus Festivals.
