Kabeljous Nature Reserve offers bird watching and a diversity of 
        plant and estuary life.

Seekoei River Nature Reserve, home to sick and injured penguins
        who are rehabilitated and then released again.

Drive to Cape St Francis with its rugged, rocky coastline and
       lighthouse.

During the winter months, the Southern Right Whale can be spotted
       in the Bay, quite close at times, while they are breeding, calving or
       having a rest. Charter boats are available to hire for fishing or whale
       watching.

Shumba Safaris is yet another small lion ranch, approximately 10 years in existence. Elephant trails can still be 
       seen on the property where they once roamed 100's of years ago. An abundance of smaller animals and various
       species of buck can be found here. All this in the Gamtoos Valley, a farming area surrounded by beautiful 
       mountains.

Two other interesting places to be seen are the African Dawn Bird Sanctuary and the Seaview Game Park, where the
       rare white lion is bred. In the same vicinity you can find the Van Stadens Nature Reserve, rich in fauna and flora. 
       This area is well known for its diversity of plant life with its many eco-systems existing side by side, from forests 
       and veld to grassy plains and succulents, and a variety of proteas in Spring.

Another lovely area is the Maitland Game Reserve, in dense indigenous coastal forest, an abundance of birds 
       such as the Knysna Loerie and many others as well as small animals can be found here.

Then of course, there is the famous Addo Elephant Park. The area is malaria
        free. The Park now has over 300 elephants roaming its boundaries. Other
        animals such as jackal, black Rhino,  Cape Buffalo and many more can be
        spotted during the night game drives or 3 hour hikes with an 
        experienced guide.

       indigenous gardens on private farms, Cradock, Mountain Zebra National Park.
       The Park was proclaimed in 1937 to save the Cape Mountain Zebra from
       extinction. A 3 hour hike will take you to Olive Schreiners grave atop 
       the Buffel's Kop mountain. (Optional)

Then on to Nieu Bethesda, a quaint and almost forgotten village off the beaten track. Visit the Owl House and the
        Camel Yard where the late and tragic Helen Martins sculpted weird and wonderful figures from cement. And see
        Bushman art explained to you on the farm, Ganora. On to Graaff-Reinet, "the Gem of the Karoo." There are 200
        national monuments in Graaff-Reinet to be visited and enjoyed. The Valley of Desolation, where the elements of
        geological processes over millions of years carved rocks into pinnacles of strange formations.

There are numerous other routes one can explore, such as the Settler Route, where the 1820 Settler's founded
        Grahamstown, Bathurst, Port Alfred, Salem etc.

The Tsitsikamma Route, where you can visit an export fern farm,
       cheese factory, experience the highest bunji jump in the Southern
       Hemisphere, a monkey park, Storms River National Park and lots
       more.

Other areas to cover are the lesser known gorges and caves near the
       Cockscomb Mountains, the Kouga River, the Lang Kloof Valley and
       burial sites of the Khoi as well as the fertility caves of the San people
       in the area known as "The Cradle Of Mankind". The pristine beauty of
       the Baviaanskloof.
