| Knysna Shell Industries was founded 13 years ago (1987) after
the original owner polished some shells as an experiment and a local shop asked him for all he had. At first these were done totally by hand and a lot of elbow grease, and hundreds of broken shells were the result. With demand increasing extra help was employed and so Turbo shells was formed. Today we pearlise tonnes of shells. Mainly
the Turbo sarmaticus We import abalone from different parts of the
world which we Our products are exported to 14 different countries
