Woodbourne adjoins a private vlei which is a waterbird sanctuary so special that it attracts migrant waders from as far as Siberia.

Our Chalets :

Each Chalet is individually disigned.
And are equipped with a fridge, microwave, gas stove, colour tv (SABC & E-TV), toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. As well as it's own stoep and braai. Bedding is provided. Chalets are not serviced.

Chalets are charged per capacity - 3 persons in a 4-sleeper will be R780 / R1200 per night depending on season.

General :

No animals or boats are allowed, not even small ones
The Resort is a private estate, in a beautiful 'park-like' setting with grass and Milkwood trees, that once was part of George Rex's Farm - Melkhoutkraal
The Resort is on George Rex Drive 1 km before you reach th famous Knysna heads. We are 6km form Town Centre and the Waterfront.
Leisure Isle, tidal lagoon (safe for children) is 1km from us and we are next to a bird sanctuary.
There is also a playground for children on the Resort and swimming pool.

Camping :

A maximum of 6 persons (babies count as people - even if they are free) per site, one caravan with side tent and one vehicle.
No plastic ground sheets are allowed.
Ablutions have hot water 24 hours a day.
There are scullery and laundry basins in the ablution area.
Each site has electricity.

To Make A Reservation :

Advise on dates, amount of persons (Adults, Children - Ages), and type of accommodation required.
We will make a provisional booking for you and forward it to you, by email or fax. The provisional booking will advise you on the deposit required and our banking details.
A 50%, non-refundable, deposit is required within two days to secure the booking.
The outstanding amount is due on arrival.
Cash and Credit Cards are welcome.

How To Find Us :

From George: Follow the N2 (Main Road), as if going ot Plett, pass six traffic lights. Sign board on your left (Knysna Heads),
turn right into Goerge Rex Drive. 4km from the turn-off on your left is Woodbourne Resort (Sign Board).
From Plett: Before you get the first traffic light. Turn left into George Rex Drive (Knysna Heads - Sign Board).
4km from the turn-off on your left is Woodbourne Resort (Sign Board).
